In addition to our support for students who are second language English, we are also fortunate to be able to offer Special Needs Support throughout the Primary department and in the early years of the Secondary department. We have an excellent creative arts programme and offer Music, Theatre and Visual Arts in the IB Diploma Programme. We also have a very strong PE Department boasting school teams in several sports. In addition we offer an extensive range of extra-curricular activities both after school and timetabled. BISI is a partially selective school in that we have entry requirements to join our IB Diploma Programme; for our current students this is determined by their IGCSE grades as it is for new students joining from IGCSE schools. For new students from other systems we will accept them based on entrance examinations in English, Mathematics and Science. There are no selection criteria for students joining any level of the school below the IB Diploma Programme in Year 12. BISI has a history of gaining good and improving results in both the IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme. For the last three consecutive years our students have gained a 100% pass rate in the full IB Diploma Programme and our most recent Graduating Class scored and average of 33.4 points which is well above the world average. Our most recent cohort of IGCSE student had a fabulous 95% of all their IGCSE examinations gaining a grade between A* and C and with 50% of all grades being at A* or A. Our PTA is an active body which plays a major role in our school. Meeting monthly with the Senior Leadership Team of the school they organise many events throughout the school year which both benefit our students and raise a considerable amount of money for charity. BISI is a happy, caring community with parents, students, staff and leadership teams all working together to make our school great. We have a City Campus for Pre School and Primary and a purpose built campus at Zekeriyaköy for Pre School, Primary and Secondary, just four miles from the Black Sea and close to the beautiful Belgrade Forest.
