The school is recognized by the Local Education Department as a British School to Year 11 and as a Spanish School in 'Bachillerato 1 and 2' (Years 12 and 13). The school offers a bilingual baccalaureate and students can choose to study some subjects in Spanish or English. The student body is 97% Spanish and usually enters the school at the age of three to continue to university entrance. The curriculum is British to IGCSE. Spanish and Spanish Social Studies are taught in accordance with the Spanish national curriculum. All students are prepared for UK and Spanish University entrance. In all of these academic areas the school’s results are well above UK and Spanish averages. Students take Advanced English and/or Proficiency examinations before leaving. French and German are the principal foreign languages. Drama, art and music are compulsory subjects and the school has an excellent choir and orchestra. Art exhibitions in school are always of a very high standard. The approach to education is holistic and student well-being is at the top of the school’s agenda. All students belong to vertical "family" groups. PSHE is an integral part of the curriculum from 3 to 18. Swimming is on the curriculum from Year 1 to Year 13 and there are regular inter-school competitions in key sports. Outside the taught curriculum, the school has a Sports and Cultural Club which offers a variety of sports and other activities after school. Spanish dance and ballet classes are also offered.
