When I decided to enrol in the MA (Communications), I had already been in the workforce for a few years. I was looking for a program which would both broaden my skills for potential employers, and also challenge and stimulate me personally. I was particularly attracted by the range of courses on offer, and the flexibility to tailor the degree to match my own interests in communications.

As a graduate, I feel that I have gained a good mix of theoretical knowledge and practical skills which are now helping me every day in the workplace. I was fortunate enough to be selected for a research attachment at SBS Radio during my studies, something which added greatly to my experience. Developing my own research project from an initial idea right through to a finished paper was also very rewarding. The knowledge and experience of the program's lecturers and tutors in their fields was clear, and they really helped me engage with the material being studied and get the most out of being a student at RMIT.
